Friday, September 4, 2009 - Friday, our last day here in Brazil before we head to Europe. Since we really didn't plan on doing a whole lot while here but recharge, my plan all along was to study German before we leave. What I hadn't exactly planned on was the fact that I'd be consumed in trying to understand Portuguese while here..... So, I studied zero German. That might make it harder to understand & speak German.
In any case, it was great to see family, friends, and familiar faces; and completely veg out and do nothing for a month and a half. We were quite tired when we arrived; now I am ready for adventure again.
We leave tomorrow (Saturday) at 8:00AM and arrive in Frankfurt at 2:00PM. On Sunday. I consider tomorrow to be the real beginning of our European adventure, as we head to countries where English is not the primary language. I am excited..
