Sunday, October 25, 2009 - The train we took from Rothenburg to Munich was rocketfast.. I don't know exactly how fast we were going, but the cars on the interstate next to us looked like they were almost stopped.Munich is like a beautiful little village that exploded vertically & horizontally. Natural and man-made beauty seem to extend on forever. Unfortunately, the hostel we stayed in was basically a 24-hour partyhall.. We decided this was by far the loudest place we'd stayed in yet. It's interesting how much of a commodity sleep becomes for us as we travel.
Beer Halls
I'm sure some of you have seen old drawings/paintings of german beer hall scenes, lots of people huddled together, laughing, toasting with large beers.. If you ever wanted to enter into one of pictures, come to one of the beer halls in Munich. I'll also give you a couple tips: 1) When your beer is served to you, never drink it without toasting all those around you with a loud & hearty "PROST!", and 2) Men, always hold the mug by the handle only; it's considered feminine to cup the glass, use both hands, etc.
Brasileiros
Munich eh linda, e muita divertida..
