Sunday, May 3, 2009 - Well, as you could tell from my last post, sure enough we didn't sleep at all on Saturday. Don't ask why; I guess we're still getting adjusted.. I read for a few hours, posted on the blog, stared at stuff. But not a chance sleep was coming for either of us.
Instead of sleeping during the day though, we decided to get out and see stuff, hoping we be utterly exhausted by night. For sure, we were walking zombies during the day.. But we took the train to Buckingham Palace, saw Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, and London Eye. We stopped for a coffee and our view out the window was of Westminster Abbey - quite ridiculous.
Everything is still completely surreal.. It really isn't hitting me still that I'm in England. I wait patiently for reality to set in..
Some fun facts:
- The majority of people here speak either French or Italian.. We don't hear a ton of English.
- Our hotel room is a closet with a bed in it (see picture below).
- Everything is beautiful. Nothing is not beautiful.
- I am tired.
Para os Brasileiros
Nos nao conseguimos dormir ontem a noite - nada.. Mas ainda, nos fomos para muitos lugares ao inves de dormir. Nos vimos o Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, e o London Eye. Foi incrivel. A ficha ainda nao caiu.. Ainda nao acredito que estou no Inglaterra.
Alguns fatos:
- Geralmente, pessoas falam Frances ou Italiano.. Eu nao ouvi muito do Ingles.
- Nosso quarto no hotel eh um armario com uma cama (foto em baixo)
- Tudo eh lindo. Tudo.
- Estou com sono.
